Seventh Sense, LLC is hiring a full-time, on-site Procurement Analyst II with 4-8 years of federal contracting experience to support NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston by accessing and reporting from NASA procurement systems, managing procurement policy documentation, interpreting regulations, maintaining forms and templates, and monitoring updates to the FAR, NASA FAR Supplement, and NASA HQ procurement policies.

Summary

We are seeking procurement analyst candidates with 4-8 years of experience supporting Federal Government contracting offices, either as former 1102 civilian/military, or as contractor support. This position supports Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas. The primary responsibilities include accessing and reporting from NASA systems for management reports and oversight of procurement operations. Additionally, the preferred candidate will support the Policy Branch by providing policy and information management functions, such as preparing and maintaining policy documentation, interpreting and disseminating procurement regulations, and creating, updating, and maintaining procurement-related forms and templates. The role also involves monitoring changes issued to the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the NASA FAR Supplement, along with procurement policy decisions made by NASA HQ. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Hiring Timeframe: Immediate

Work Location: Onsite in Houston, TX. Seventh Sense will contribute over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a procurement analyst at JSC in support of the Business Systems Support Specialist.
  • Pull reports from various NASA procurement systems and provide recommendations for action.
  • Follow up with supported procurement offices for necessary action.
  • Provide policy and information management functions, including preparing and maintaining policy documentation, interpreting and disseminating procurement regulations, and creating, updating, and maintaining procurement-related forms and templates.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain Agency organizational and policy-related information on Agency internal and external websites and databases.
  • Monitor changes issued to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), along with procurement policy decisions made by NASA HQ (e.g., Procurement Information Circulars (PICs)), and provide these, along with a description of the impact upon current operations, for dissemination. All work will be subject to final review and approval by the appropriate government authority before dissemination.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and 4 years of experience, or Associates and 6 years experience, or HS Diploma and 8 years of experience
  • Relevant experience in procurement, policy analysis, contracting, or related areas
  • Current or previous NASA acquisition experience is highly desired
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Skills

  • Expertise with verbal and written communications
  • Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
  • Proficient and confident working with Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint for document preparation and briefings
  • Proficiency and confidence in learning and working within IT systems and tools (some PC based; some NASA system based) and proactively resolving any computer/systems/tools issues which are dependencies for completing work assignments. Most commonly used systems/tools include FPDS, SAP, PPS, NCMS, SAM.gov, CPARS, IRIS, EPDW, and BOBJ.
  • Experience working within a team using a variety of communication environments: email, video communications, phone, and face-to-face. Proactively works with teammates and customers to complete and follow up on assignments.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter.
