SwipeClock Acquires ApplicantStack

SwipeClock acquired ApplicantStack in late December 2018 to integrate ApplicantStack's applicant tracking and onboarding software with its own workforce management solutions, thereby expanding its offerings for small to mid-sized businesses and recruiters to include recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, timekeeping, and employee engagement services.

New Products Extend SwipeClock’s Workforce Management Strategy

SwipeClock announced the acquisition of ApplicantStack, a leader in applicant tracking software for small to mid-sized businesses and recruiters. ApplicantStack's products, ApplicantStack Recruit and ApplicantStack Onboard, expand the SwipeClock product line to enhance recruiting and hiring processes. SwipeClock is known for providing simple and affordable integrated workforce management services. Payroll providers and service bureaus partner with SwipeClock to extend their service offerings beyond payroll to include recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, timekeeping, and ongoing employee engagement.

Coleman Barney, SwipeClock CEO, stated: “Applicant tracking and timekeeping are among the most compelling requirements for small businesses. The acquisition brings together two extraordinarily complementary products that our partners and their customers can start using right away. This is a natural fit with our strategy to extend and expand our solution with other HR services of value to small and medium businesses.”

Recruiters and hiring managers use applicant tracking software to solicit, track, interview, and hire new employees. ApplicantStack software manages job descriptions and requisitions, posts jobs to job boards, accepts and processes job applications, interviews candidates, and extends job offers. The software is sold as a subscription for administrators and hiring managers, with more than 2,000 customers subscribed.

SwipeClock's capabilities include timekeeping with physical and web-based clocks, advanced scheduling, secure delivery of payroll records, and HR process automation for onboarding, reviews, benefits enrollment, and employee engagement. These features are typically of interest to companies that use applicant tracking software and vice versa.

The acquisition of ApplicantStack by SwipeClock was completed in late December 2018. All ApplicantStack business operations, including new accounts, support, product development, and sales efforts, will continue as before. SwipeClock will provide additional details at the upcoming IPPA meeting in Las Vegas on February 25, 2019.
